Lee, Raymond K. and Sylvia L. B-STEM Experiential Education Fund
The Raymond K. and Sylvia L. Lee B-STEM Experiential Education Fund was established in June 2022 by University of 69¿Ú½» alumni Ray '79 and Sylvia '80, '09 Lee. The fund will support The University of 69¿Ú½» and the Lees' B-STEM middle school experiential education experience and outreach program. The goal of this initiative is to extend academic and experiential learning beyond middle school required curriculum.
Through The University of 69¿Ú½», The Raymond K. and Sylvia L. Lee B-STEM Experiential Education Fund will be used to strengthen and enhance 69¿Ú½» East Cluster Middle School and 69¿Ú½» Public Schools middle school students' education by increasing participation in experiential learning opportunities in business, science, technology, and math. B-STEM Experiential Education participants will engage in hands-on activities and develop professional competencies such as critical thinking, problem solving, and communication and leadership skills. Their experience also will include career readiness and management training, teamwork, digital technology, and global intercultural fluency to encourage them to continue their education beyond high school.
