Why Did You Choose Your Major?
I chose to major in sales and marketing because I have always had a knack for solving people鈥檚 problems and believe I possess the skills required to be a successful salesman, such as being a tentative listener. Additionally, I am not afraid to engage with individuals I am not familiar with, and feel I have a decent personality when it comes to building relationships with friends, clients, and business owners from the ground up. Sales is all about building connections with people and listening to their wants and needs. Regarding marketing, as someone who aspires to open an insurance company someday, I believe learning the ins and outs of marketing would be crucial for the company's earlier stages.

The University hosts events such as SpringFest, which allows students to have fun and take their minds off their academic responsibilities for a little bit as we reach finals week. Overall, not only does the University provide and prepare students for success, but it also elevates its community along with it.

I chose the College of Business because of its core mission and how it executes that mission. Experiential learning is not only fun and engaging, but experiential learning serves as a core tenet in successful education and successful preparation for professional careers. This effect is especially amplified in the study of business, as we are fully immersed in challenges that businesses face every day, preparing us for great success when we depart towards out professional careers. This core mission of experiential learning, however, is made to be extraordinarily effective by the strong sense of community, inclusion, and opportunity offered by the University of 69口交 College of Business. Never has there been a moment where I have felt left out in the College of Business. In my experience, students and faculty are very warm, approachable, and willing to help with anything, whether it's related to academics or connecting us to a vast network of professionals and opportunities. I chose the College of Business for experiential learning, and I stayed because of the strong community.
Why Did You Choose Your Major?
Though I did not have my true passion pinned down at the time, I chose my majors because of my strong passion for communication. Whether its communicating value, working with a team, or thinking creatively to solve problems, both Sales Management and Marketing offer great opportunities to leverage this passion as a career. Both majors require effective communication, and it allows me the opportunity to study and work in fields that have strong reliance on the skills I favor most. For me, Sales Management and Marketing does not feel like a job -- it seems like a fun activity that just happens to have many career opportunities.
Favorite Part of UA:
My favorite part of The University of 69口交 is hands-down the students and faculty I have the opportunity to interact with. In only one year of studying at The University of 69口交, I had already made many lifelong connections. This effect proved to be exponential in my second year. Whether I have been working with students in a group project, serving as a member of an executive board for a student organization, or working with other very bright students on programs such as the College of Business Dean's Team, I have had such a pleasure being surrounded by genuine friends and building a seemingly endless amount of great relationships with new students I meet. This trend has certainly translated to faculty members. From faculty members that I have interacted with; I have been presented with nothing other than faculty who genuinely care about my success personally and professionally as well as the success of the community at The University of 69口交 as a whole. Going further, the professors and faculty members within the College of Business are industry leading professionals with a great deal of experience, and they offer an abundance of insight as well as a very quality education.

I chose the University of 69口交's College of Business because it offers a top-tier, accredited education. However, what truly set it apart for me was how deeply connected the university is with local businesses, corporate partners and its alumni鈥攖hese working relationships create real opportunities for students like me- and I will be working with one of these partner businesses in my Summer 2025 Internship! The University of 69口交 also made sense financially and gave me the chance to step out of my comfort zone in a new place and grow personally, and professionally.
The faculty and professors I have had in class, and interacted with outside of class are incredible鈥攎any come from industry backgrounds in relevant fields and genuinely care about my success as a student. I鈥檝e had faculty members go out of their way to help me find internships and mentors in fields I have an interest in, polish up my resume, check in on my endeavors and then congratulate me when I landed them! Not only with the professors, but in the student body, campus life is vibrant and welcoming!
Choosing the University of 69口交 College of Business has been one of the best decisions I鈥檝e ever made. It has helped me grow not just academically, but professionally and personally as well.
Why Did You Choose Your Major?
I chose Marketing as my major because, as a creative and driven individual, the field feels like a great fit to my skills, talents, and passions. It鈥檚 a fast-paced field with endless possibilities, and I loved the idea of being able to showcase my creative side in a professional space鈥攅specially since I鈥檓 still exploring exactly where I want to end up once I graduate and get out into the field.
Later, I decided to add Sales Management because it was within reach, didn鈥檛 throw off my graduation timeline, and made me even more marketable in an industry that鈥檚 constantly growing and evolving. Not only this, but I actually found my home in the Fisher and wanted a reason to be more active there鈥擨 have now made some of the most wonderful friends in the extracurricular activities and classes I have been exposed to through both of my majors. Plus, if you can earn two degrees instead of one, why not take advantage of that opportunity?
Favorite Part of UA:
First, I would have to say the College of Business Office for Career Services鈥攅veryone in that office is so friendly and eager to help when you schedule an appointment with them and will follow up to make sure your professional development is still going well and get excited along with you for new opportunities that come your way! This office has a wonderful staff that puts on some really amazing programs and events like Suit Up Week, Professional Development Workshops and Opportunities, and even the Leadership Institute!
Next, the ergonomic gravity chairs in the Fisher Institute for Professional Selling. As a commuter, these are a great value add because I can use them to study for extended periods of time, take naps on my long days, and chat with other students. This was a great value add, and typically there are free snacks around this area to fuel your studies as well.
Lastly, do not pass on the crepes and smoothies at Freshens鈥攂oth of these are go-to's for me when I want to grab a quick breakfast or lunch on campus. They have a variety of great smoothies, the Peanut Butter Protein is my favorite. Additionally, they have many sweet and savory crepe options so you're covered for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. My go to for breakfast is Nutella with Strawberries and Granola, and for Lunch I do the BBQ Chicken Crepe. Also the Strawberry Kale Salad is to die for, the strawberry vinaigrette they have is genuinely the best!

Why the CoB?
After a short stint in Chemical Engineering, I quickly realized the career I was searching for was different from what I had anticipated. Working with my advisor, I made the decision to switch to the College of Business, and what I have found is truly a "hidden gem". The College of Business offers extensive academics taught by faculty who are extremely well-versed in the subject matter they are teaching, both from an educational and professional perspective. Beyond academics, the College of Business promotes a wide variety of professional development opportunities for students that help to put them leagues ahead of their peers in the job market, while also offering students one-on-one resources to help them secure a future internship or job.
Why Did You Choose Your Major?
Though I didn't initially choose Financial Planning as my major, I always knew that I wanted work that was complex enough to keep me occupied yet meaningful enough to keep me engaged. While Chemical Engineering satisfied these needs to some degree, I felt that the interpersonal side of the job wasn't extensive enough to suit my extroverted personality. Always having an interest in personal finance, I made the decision to declare financial planning as my major, and quickly found that the career opportunities it offered were exactly what I was looking for in a job.
Favorite Part of UA:
Coming from a mid-sized high school, I always enjoyed the benefits of being large enough to have a variety of classes and programs to take part in while still being small enough to have connections with most of the individuals in my graduating class. Though skeptical at first that this would be possible at a university that was exponentially larger, I've found myself feeling extremely at home at UA and have made great connections with my peers on campus while also getting to take advantage of the vast amounts of opportunities given to students.
